The August Open Studio Trail
On the August weekend of 26th and 27th,, from 10 am to 4 pm, eleven of our talented artists will be demonstrating their processes at nine studio locations: Belinda Stanton, Annie McIntosh, Megan Bice, Judy Berlak, Chris Blake, the McCotter-Musk Studio, Deann Cumner, Jodie Archbold, and Cathy Cogill.
Our Feature Artist this month is Belinda Stanton. After fourteen years in graphic design and illustration Belinda and her family moved up to Maleny where she rediscovered herself as a studio potter, ceramic sculptor and fine art painter. She focuses on portraying inner peace and harmony through her works of art and is represented at numerous galleries.
This end of winter trail stretches from Landsborough and Booroobin through Maleny, Montville, Flaxton and Mapleton to Nambour and Keil Mountain. Plenty of warm studios to welcome you as you travel through our beautiful landscapes. Plenty of cafes and restaurants along the trip for toasty warm delights. Plenty of beautiful artwork to enjoy and even take home with you.
We look forward to meeting you!

The Blake studio was designed and built by Chris as a studio/gallery/ home in 2000 but being an owner builder it was a few years before it was opened. Built on an acre property it has a circular driveway [come in on the second entry] and it has ample parking for 6 cars or a couple of mini buses [being a dead end street there is safe parking on the road also]. The house set on stumps is of a loft home design with the main Gallery occupying the ground floor. The studio upstairs overlooks the pond-age area from the rear balcony and is a mecca for wildlife [birds and water dragons]. The garden has been planted over the years with callistemon and other flowering scrubs and trees to create a garden for wildlife. There is as yet no wheelchair access.
