Open Studio Trail
Our May Open Studio Trail features six artists in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. In Mapleton you will meet Jodie Archbold, and Jennifer Eurell, and then visit Marilyn Dale-Cook and Peter Cook at their La Petite Gallery. Across the range in North Maleny will be Kaye Leach and in Maleny Judi Parkinson. The five studios will be open between 10am and 4pm on both Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th May. These talented artists produce artworks in a variety of mediums including graphite, charcoal, clay, ceramics, ink, watercolours, acrylics, oils, ceramics, printing, photography and cyanotypes to mention a few. Artsists will be working and demonstrating their crafts and many pieces of art will be for sale, the perfect memento after visiting a working art studio.

Jennifer Eurell – Artist
My home is on the escarpment at Mapleton, looking out to the sea. It is within easy walking distance from the village of Mapleton with it’s pub and coffee shops; and Mapleton Falls and Mapleton National Park are only a 5 minutes’ drive away. My studio is under the house and can be accessed via the glass front doors of the studio or through the garage. There is on-street parking (or inside the property if there is room), but be wary of the Post Office Road/Warruga Street intersection in front of the house as the locals are fond of turning there.

Kaye Leach – Ceramic Artist and Painter
As you enter the circular drive which has plenty of off street parking as well as wheelchair access, you will notice my sculptures scattered throughout the gardens. Entry to my studio is through the red door where you will find a display of all my artwork.

Judi Parkinson – Artist and Photographer
My large she-shed – aka studio eight – is nestled in our backyard. The mezzanine floor is my sewing, craft and writing nook, while downstairs provides work spaces for printing, photography and painting. There is a separate gallery area for browsing my eclectic collection of artworks. Reverse parking is available along the driveway and then there’s a short walk to the top of the drive. Wander along the lawn as you enjoy the rose gardens.
There is limited parking and turning at the top of the driveway so we prefer to keep the area free for disabled access please. Bus turning is further down the street at a T-intersection.
