We are welcoming Spring 2017 with another popular Spring Open Studios Trail!!
Eighteen artists will be welcoming visitors at fifteen studio/gallery locations, and these are detailed below with corresponding numbers to the Map you choose. The Spring Trail presents a variety of studios, each with its own unique ambience. The road trip runs from Maleny and surrounds, through the towns scattered along the top of the Blackall Range, then onto Kiels Mountain and Nambour. Mother Nature will be in full bloom providing scented studio gardens and picturesque scenery along the way.
Come and meet our artists! Some are award winning, some are self-taught, others are professionally trained, beginners and advanced. Listen to the stories behind their artworks or browse quietly through their studio/gallery displays; watch them demonstrate their professional skills and feel free to ask about their techniques, materials and inspirations. Many works of art will be available for sale – the perfect memento from meeting the artist and visiting their studio.
Our ‘Open Studio’ program has been operating since 2010 and is supported by local and broader communities, and is sponsored by Sunshine Coast Council and Maleny Credit Union.
These Spring Open Studio weekends are in conjunction with the Sculpture on the Edge Exhibition at Spicers Tamarind Resort (more info).

Park in the designated area, and walk 50 m past the front of the house, enjoying the big trees, stag horns, and views to the Mary River as you go. Turn right past the house and enter my studio through the studio verandah. There is plenty of parking, and there is room for a small bus by the shed, with an 80 m walk to the studio.

The house set on stumps is of a loft home design with the main Gallery occupying the ground floor. The studio upstairs overlooks the pond-age area from the rear balcony and is a mecca for wildlife [birds and water dragons]. The garden has been planted over the years with callistemon and other flowering scrubs and trees to create a garden for wildlife. There is as yet no wheelchair access.
