Annie's studio is situated outside Peachester, south of Maleny. From the Kilcoy Beerwah Rd, turn into the delightfully scenic River Rd. Drive approximately 5km , cross a double concrete bridge, and follow the signs to an original Queenslander farmhouse, situated right at the roadside amongst pasture and forest. Access is easy, lots of parking.
Annie participates in the Open Studio trail and is happy to show visitors her art techniques and practices. There are art works displayed gallery style as well as works in progress to see.
Annie was born and formally educated in Melbourne, then lived for many years in New Zealand with her husband and two sons. She has been a Queensland resident now for 17 years.
Art has always been a part of her world, both professionally and personally, starting with her role as medical technologist staining cells and tissues, to designing and making textile art and now painting. Annie loves exploring the use of mood and colour in abstract expressive landscapes.
2013 - Expressive Water Media class, Brisbane Institute of Art.
Under the instruction of Mia Clark she explored acrylics, water colours, inks and printing. She was encouraged to use a myriad of techniques and textures and to experiment with a wide range of resources.
2015 – Megan Bice, Maleny. Annie attends weekly classes, encouraged to further explore various media, combining acrylic and inks, as well as collage.
2016 - Annie participated in several solo and group exhibitions, as well as continuing her arts education
2017 - Annie joined Peace of Green Gallery artists' collective in Maleny, as well as continuing her arts education and participating in group exhibitions.
