I was born and educated in Brisbane and have engaged in drawing and painting since childhood. I have completed art courses at various private colleges including the Brisbane Institute of Art. In Brisbane ,I participated in many group exhibitions and sold privately to decorators and businesses. I now live at Coolum Beach, where I enjoy views to the mountains and the ocean, and am inspired by the patterns and rhythms of the bush, the rocky outcrops, and the swirling surf.

My representational drawings mostly depict people and the relationships and tensions between them.
My paintings are generally abstract or semi-abstract, mostly very colourful, and rarely ‘calm’. Because I experience the world as a kind of busy frieze of activity, I often produce work that has a lot of surface pattern and movement. I’m very interested in the way colour, shape, and movement stimulate emotional responses, and I try to capture the spirit of things I see or experience.

I work on paper, yupo, canvas, and panel board, using charcoal, pastels, inks, acrylics, and sometimes cold wax with oil paint.
