DRAWING, MIXED MEDIA, PAINTING
I love to create original art works that are fun and colourful and that will inspire and bring joy to others.
I rely on my intuition when creating a composition and like to play around at the edges of what is real, trying to make that which is real less tangible, and that which is not real more tangible. Whether painting from real life or from my imagination, I always make up a story about the painting and its context. Sometimes I write this into a poem, but generally I prefer that the viewer make up their own story.
I primarily paint with acrylics often with collage and other media. I also paint in watercolour and draw with charcoal and pastel.

More About Me
I grew up in Sydney, lived in Canberra for many years and moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2018. I have attended many art workshops and tutorials with many fantastic teachers. I have won numerous art awards beginning with my first first-prize at age 12. I have had six solo exhibitions and many group exhibitions. My current loves are painting abstracts, landscapes referencing an aerial and alternative viewpoints, still life compositions and quirky figures, mainly working with acrylic paint and mixed media. I have tertiary qualifications in architecture and librarianship and have part completed a visual art degree. I am a former President and Vice President of the Artists Society of Canberra.
