Drawing, Installation, Painting, Sculpture, performance

Australian based Dutch-born artist Mieke van den Berg currently explores cultural separation through complex sculpture, expanded installation and performance. Through a matrilineal feminist lens, Mieke addresses the themes of displacement, memory and trauma.

A Finalist in Lyn McCrea memorial drawing prize 2020, Mieke was also an excellence award winner of the Local Artist – Local Content Art Prize 2020 at the Caloundra Regional Gallery and in 2019 an artist in residence at Draw to Perform, Brighton in the UK.
