I am a professional potter and work from my home studio in the lush countryside of North Maleny. For the last 36 years, I have worked as a ceramic artist involved in producing and selling Raku fired pottery and sculptures. I co-founded the Peace of Green Gallery, an artist co-operative in Maleny, 27 years ago and still exhibit and sell my work there today.

I have been running sculpture and hand building workshops for the last 10 years and more recently added wheel throwing classes to the calendar. You can find out more by visiting https://friedmudd.com

More About Me

My love of preserving our Australian Heritage comes through my work, as the rustic relics of yesteryear are recreated in clay. I draw my inspiration from the wonders of nature and the Australian wildlife that surrounds my hinterland property.

Change and growth are an important aspect and direction of my work. I believe that it should always be fun to make pots, which is the key to releasing creative potential. Exploring new forms and refining old ones, keeps my work moving and evolving.

It makes me happy to know that my work, from the whimsical to the sleek and modern, can be found in homes all over Australia and various places in the world, that these pieces are treasured by people who have seen my work and HAD to have a piece for themselves.
