Driven by a deep concern over the rapid growth of dumps and our throwaway culture, I deliberately select weathered, forgotten materials to build structures that stand the test of time.

Angelo is a scrap metal artist based in Condamine, Queensland. Growing up in the Philippines, he spent his childhood crafting homemade toys from bamboo, fig fruits (used as wheels), and salvaged bicycle parts—resourceful creations born from a lack of access to store-bought playthings. This early ingenuity, combined with his natural mechanical aptitude, shaped his journey to Australia, where he now works as a mechanic.
Deeply influenced by his siblings—full-time artists in the Philippines—Angelo dreamed of transitioning into a professional artistic career. This aspiration led him to launch his Facebook page, The Metal Poet, a platform that celebrates his passion for poetry, nature, and mechanical skill.
