Richard Muldoon, ACI PresidentWelcome to the last Newsletter of the year! It’s been a very positive year for ACI and the ACI committee, and we hope moving into 2020 you the members (and non members) will see the benefits.

Our workshops program has been revitalised by Megan Bice and Annie McIntosh and we have the program pretty much planned for next year, with details to be released very soon.

Sculpture On The Edge had another great year and our social events have been very well attended … expect to see more of these next year. The exhibition at Graydon Gallery was fantastic and we have quite progressive plans for exhibitions next year.

We have secured funding for Open Studios, thanks to the wonderful Sunshine Coast Council. At the start of 2020 we will be rolling out more information regarding this major event happening in early June. We have substantial interest from artists on the Sunshine Coast to take part in this opportunity, so we are off to a good start.

We have seen an encouraging number of new members sign up. And to strengthen our reputation as an arts representative organisation that will deliver results for artists, arts tourism, and local business we are forming closer relationships with arts industry stakeholders as well as galleries and local council.

At the end of 2019 I want to thank the committee, those taking a well earned rest and those joining in the fun. They are volunteers and give so much time and effort to creating opportunities for our members and community in general.

Have a great Christmas all, and stay tuned for some exciting announcements in early 2020.

Richard Muldoon
