DRAWING, MIXED MEDIA, PAINTING
Cara Loconte is an emerging artist and art instructor whose work is a powerful celebration of body positivity and the beauty of nature. Passionate about encouraging self-love and acceptance, Cara believes that the human body, like nature, is inherently beautiful. “We come into the world naked and gorgeous, but somewhere along the way, we are taught to loathe ourselves,” she reflects. Through her art, Cara envisions a world where everyone nurtures and cares for their bodies as one would a garden of beautiful flowers.
MEDIA
Using a dynamic process that includes modeling paste, spray paint, acrylics, and oils, Cara creates textured, vibrant works that blend human form with floral bouquets.

More About You
Cara Loconte is an Australian based professional artist and art mentor for Milan Art Institute where she helps students navigate the early phases of the 12-month Mastery Program.
Through a dynamic process using mixed media and oil paint, Cara creates her own layered artworks, which often merge portraits and animals with nature. Her art explores light and dark, both visually and emotionally, reflecting the complexity of the human experience.
Inspired by the work of Frida Kahlo and Gustav Klimt, she uses bright colours, flora and fauna as symbolic extensions of self, inviting viewers to form an emotional connection with the work. Through her work, she hopes to raise awareness around issues like climate change, endometriosis and domestic violence, giving voice to experiences which are often ignored or unseen.
Cara graduated from the Milan Art Gallery Mastery Program in 2024. Her work has been on display at the Joy Collective in Maleny, where she also completed a large mural. Cara’s work has also been selected as a finalist in the ‘Little Treasures’ competition at Milan Art Gallery in Sarasota Florida and was exhibited at the Loft Gallery, Arts Connect pop up gallery and MADE Sunshine Coast Art Fair in November 2025. She has also been selected to be part of the Teravarna FOCUS art fair’s digital showcase in New York City from 21-24 May 2026.
