CERAMICS, PAINTING, sculpture

Recently returning to live in Maleny after travels around Australia, I am now setting up my studio as an addition to my home. For the past year concentrating mainly on a new series of paintings as a result of our travels inspired by the landscape and myths of ancient beliefs, and looking to the Milky Way and asking  ‘Are we alone in the Universe or are there other ancient races invisible to us?    And what impact do we have on the Universe and vice versa?  Mysterious names like Charm Quarks, White Dwarf Stars and Dark Energy that surround us, tweak my imagination for my fun, colourful works and sculptures.

More About You

Throughout my long creative career, the inventive use of materials particularly in sculptures have led to developing new ideas and techniques. In the U.K. I have worked on projects as Artist in Residence using traditional materials building mud brick sculptures and mosaics as well as wood carving and gold leaf work on projects for museum display.  Undertaking commissions for display purposes as well designing and building Stage sets for local theatre and singing groups. For fun making hobby horses and costumes for polo horse riding games. One time woodies finalist in for sculpture, as well as firsts in local art competitions locally. Sculpture on the Edge has seen many of my fun sculptures over recent years.
