I am a retired pharmacist who moved to Australia from South Africa with my family in 2000.
Work and bringing up a family prevented me from following my passion for art and only after retiring could I start with painting oil on canvas. I attended classes with Dale Marsh and a workshop with Brian Cook as well as Bronwyn Searle.
Before that I did pottery once a week, after hours though, for 9 years.

More About You
I love to do portraiture and try to capture the personality of my subject. I also love to paint farm animals, flowers, fruit, vegetables and plants.
I have entered paintings twice at the Brisbane EKKA and three times at the Brookfield shows and was fortunate enough to sell paintings as well as to being awarded a ‘Highly Commended “and second prize for paintings. I also entered paintings at the Samford Agricultural Show and was awarded second prize as well as THECA art show awarded a first prize.
We moved to Highvale,2015, from the South-Western side of Brisbane, and have settled down to enjoy my art and the artistic community of Samford.
Since then, at end of 2024, we moved to Maleny where I joined MACG and sold a few paintings on their Fairs.
