Ongoing Exhibitions at Vianta Arts Curated by Member Ilia Starkovsky
In June 2020 Vianta Arts features Graeme Toft, a photographer.
Dates: May to June 2020
Place: Vianta Arts, 70 Simpson St, Beerwah
Graeme Toft is a dedicated nature photographer who specialises in Australian birds. He has been a lover of our fauna since childhood, and his discovery of photography more than 10 years ago has added inspiration to his main passion, birds.
Graeme has travelled extensively throughout Asia and other parts of the world photographing exotic species but he is convinced that Australia with over 780 species is “Bird Central” for the dedicated photographer.
Graeme has sold his images all over the world, including North America and Europe, and has taught photography to many people. The Sunshine Coast Council and Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve have promoted his workshops.
The images displayed in this exhibition at VIANTA ARTS are just a fraction of those Graeme has taken over the years, but they give an insight into his passion, and the patience required to get the right shot, the back grounds and feather detail, the true to life colours and the postures of the birds.
Graeme’s exquisite large format photographic enlargements are a must see for any lover of birds and nature. Graeme’s works will be displayed during the month of June at Vianta Arts on 70 Simpson St. Beerwah
