Arts Connect Inc warmly invites our talented members to participate in ‘Sense of Place II’ Exhibition at Cooroy Butter Factory 2026, celebrating the creativity and skill of the Sunshine Coast arts community.

This year, our theme is “Sense of Place II”. We encourage artists to explore what this means to them: a connection to the landscapes, people, culture, or emotions that shape your identity and artistic vision. It could be reflected in the textures, colours, forms, and stories embedded in your work—whether through the sweeping brushstrokes of a landscape, the intimate detail of a watercolour, the bold experimentation of mixed media, or the sculptural presence of three-dimensional work.

We know you as members work across a diverse range of practices:

  • Painters: acrylic, oil, watercolour, and ink, from bold contemporary explorations to delicate, detailed studies.
  • Mixed media artists: incorporating fabric, paper, and innovative materials into experimental designs.
  • Sculptors: working with wood, bronze, ceramics, and other materials, sculpting, carving, casting, and constructing works that resonate deeply with audiences. 3D works are to be no more than 5 kgs in weight, stable base and freestanding.  Cooroy have plinths available.
  • Jewellery: artists work with metals, stones, glass, and mixed materials to form pieces that reflect belonging, identity, and connection.

Together, your work embodies the richness, skill, and creativity of the Sunshine Coast arts community, and we can’t wait to see how you interpret this year’s theme.
