More About You
Julia and her partner’s permaculture property is known locally as The Lighthouse Regenerative Farm. The wild nature of their food forest and herb labyrinth garden makes its way into her watercolours, prints, collage and paintings. Ocean themes also appear in the most imaginative ways.
Semi-abstract, bright colourful works sometimes with curious characters, elemental spirits and imagined entities that tell a story are often written in poetry by the artist. Many of these can be found accompanying original works on her website.
Julia has illustrated a children’s story by Lucy Murrell called My Inner Light, also available at her studio.
Julia is a passionate gardener and recently reignited her passion for labyrinths as a walking meditation and therapeutic tool. Visitors will be able to experience the herb labyrinth themselves. Julia runs intimate art workshops with people exploring their connection to nature and holds monthly art jams for artists to connect.
