I’m Katie Couperthwaite, a portrait and animal artist who works primarily in oil, acrylic, and pencil. My art combines realism with classical and fantasy-inspired stylisation, capturing both likeness and emotion with a timeless feel.

Katie Couperthwaite is a painter and illustrator based on the Sunshine Coast, Australia, known for her portraiture and animal works.
Katie received her Bachelor of Arts, with Honours, from Manchester Metropolitan University and draws inspiration from old masters, such as Rembrandt and Leonardo da Vinci. Her artworks explore the human relationship with the modern world in an ethereal manner, blending realism with classical stylisation. Previously exhibiting in galleries in the United Kingdom, Katie’s work is currently on display at the Talented Friends Gallery, Qld.
Katie is presently working on commissions and a new series of oil paintings which explore today’s society with a juxtaposed neoclassical style.
