More About You
I am a sculptor based in Avoca Beach on the Central Coast of NSW. Originally from Russia, I studied chemistry before building a career in technology and life sciences, living and working in Russia, the UK, Spain and, since 2019 I settled down in Australia.
My path into sculpture was largely self-directed. I have always been drawn to art history, philosophy, literature and the human figure, and over time sculpture became the medium through which I could bring these interests together.
My work is primarily figurative and often explores emotional states — vulnerability, identity, intimacy, spiritual longing and our attempts to understand ourselves and our place in the world. I work mainly in clay and bronze, combining traditional sculptural techniques with contemporary ideas and personal experience.
I work from my studio in Avoca Beach, where I develop new sculptures, teach, and occasionally open the studio to visitors.
