I am a multimedia mosaic artist and sculptor who engages with works that represent primarily the natural world. I also explore the juxtaposition of materials and how the elements of surprise and curiosity play such an important part in my work.

More About You
I began my career as a mosaicist, working primarily with china. I was immediately captivated by its colours, curves and tactile qualities, and I found myself naturally drawn towards creating work that moved beyond the flat surface.
Working with china led me into bas-relief sculpture, and from there I became increasingly interested in pushing my work further into the third dimension. With an existing knowledge of welding and extensive experience with power tools, building steel armatures for my mosaics became a natural progression.
As my curiosity grew, so did my collection of tools. Learning to use a plasma cutter opened up a new world of possibilities and allowed me to move more confidently into steel sculpture.
My practice is now focused on creating hybrid works that bring different materials together in unexpected and engaging ways. I enjoy exploring the contrasts and connections between materials—their colour, texture, weight and form—and discovering how they can interact to create something that could not exist through any one material alone.
