As moved at the Management Committee Meeting on Tuesday 29 October & 19 November 2024:

that, in relation to our Model Rules – Clause 5(1) “Classes of members”, the Management Committee further define the classes as follows:

(a) Associate Members – being persons admitted to membership as per an ordinary member without any of the financial and promotional benefits afforded to an ordinary member. An Associate member will pay a reduced membership fee as set in line with Clause 8. Associate Membership may be terminated in line with Clause 10.

(b) Life Members – being members who have shown exemplary service on the Management Committee or one or more Sub-committees (endorsed by the Management Committee) for a period of no less than five (5) continuous years. A letter of commendation and proof of service is to be forwarded to the Management Committee, along with the Proposer and Seconder details. If satisfied, the Management Committee will put forward the name of the member to an Annual General Meeting for endorsement as a Life Member. A Life Member is not required to pay membership fees. Life Membership may only be terminated in line with Clause 10 of the Model Rules, except 10(3)(c);

(c) Honorary Members – being persons appointed by the Management Committee to fill a vacancy on the Management Committee. An Honorary Member is not required to pay membership fees. Honorary Membership will be retained while the member fulfils a position on the Management Committee and may be terminated in line with Clauses 10, except 10(3)(c), 16 or 20 of the Model Rules.
