MIXED MEDIA
Live and work on the Sunshine Coast around Maleny and Palmwoods. Passionate about protecting the environment, music and creativity so these elements came together in my artwork – recycling guitar strings that would go to landfill!
Our life is surrounded by music and so my supply of guitar strings is limitless. I have always loved being creative with paints, canvas, drawing, collages.
In our family there is no excuse for being bored – go do craft – be creative!
My creativity is encouraged by my family, specifically my husband Andrew who is a very talented musician, but can’t draw to save himself. So we learn that creativity comes in many forms…
Recycling the guitar strings into a second version of their way of bringing joy to those around. Music matters and art is the key!
MEDIA
Recycled guitar strings with canvas, acrylic paints, mosaic glass, washi paper and resin. Even know to recycled the whole guitar and use it in my works.
