I am a local resident of Flaxton, Sunshine Coast Hinterland. I have worked with a variety of mediums for many years including watercolours, gouaches, acrylics, air drying clay and collages. I joined the Peace of Green Gallery collective in 2021 and very much enjoy this vibrant, diverse, supportive and inspiring community. My work is an ongoing exploration of colour, stories and the interplay between the textures of objects, their shapes and forms.
Media
For my 3D compositions and collages, I use found treasures carefully selected and collected overtime such as old objects, fabrics, handmade laces and printed imagery from old books illustrations. I have inherited many odd pieces from my father and grandfather who were both artists in the South West France.
My figurines and clay pieces such as boats, dolls, birds, angels and candle holders are made of wood and air drying clay wrapped in handcrafted papers from natural fibres.
My choice of medium for painting is watercolour, I enjoy the element of surprise when paint meets paper and its various textures. I have designed a series of gift cards printed on recycled paper from my original watercolours. My original watercolours are also printed as fine art prints on lovely textured HahneMuehle paper.

More About Me
I migrated to Australia in 1984 and continuously feel in awe of its diverse landscapes and unforgiving light, and it's ancient native culture.
I have retired from my day work a year ago to dedicate myself entirely to my art practice. I am also a nature lover, delighting in its many wonders.
