CERAMICS, Painting, SCULPTURE
Hi, my name is Kathleen Wilkinson. I was a laboratory tech for 25 years, doing ceramics and drawing as a hobby.
In 2024 I had the opportunity to do the Diploma in Visual Arts and now I have my own studio at Kiel Mountain, Woombye.
My artwork reflects my passion for the environment and the unique flora and fauna of the Sunshine Coast. Through my work I hope to highlight the importance of protecting our environment for future generations.
MEDIA
My main focus is clay, sculpture and wheel thrown. I also do watercolours, ink and pastels.
More About You
My artwork reflects my observations in daily life, capturing the intricate and fragile web of nature, which is both resilient and beautiful.
I draw constant inspiration from the unique shapes and beauty of Australian flora and fauna. My artistic expression varies across different mediums, including acrylics on canvas, watercolours on paper, domestic ware crafted on the pottery wheel, and sculpture.
Each material is carefully chosen to bring my latest creative vision to life.
Through my work, I aim to highlight the importance of protecting our environment for future generations. The process of experimentation and experience often leads to my most compelling pieces, allowing for unexpected discoveries and growth.
