Vicki is an emerging contemporary abstract artist. Although a late comer to painting, her passion for vibrant colours has led her on a life long journey through interior decorating and fashion, including having previously owned a boutique. Vicki has an abstract mind but a disciplined eye for detail while still loving the unpredictability of creating abstract art.
Vicki uses bold, vivid acrylics and alcohol inks in her paintings and collages that come from her imagining the beautiful colours dancing together on the canvas. Her works are fun and quirky, leaving the viewer to use their own imagination.

As I am a late comer to painting, I guess I could call myself the “Grandma Moses” of the Sunshine Coast. My life long passion for colour, textures and patterns has taken me on a journey through interior decorating and fashion, having previously owned a boutique. My dream to paint came to fruition when my wonderful son bought for me a warehouse to set up a studio. Now I am living my dream painting in the bold, vivid colours I love so much. My contemporary abstract style reflects my abstract mind while still maintaining my disciplined eye for detail. My works are fun and quirky, leaving the viewer to use their own imagination to make of them what they will. I continue to challenge myself with exploring new and exciting techniques while adhering to my love of vibrant colour.
