Wolfgang Engel – Hot Glass Torch Blowing workshops

LAMP WORK            For 1 Person or 2 people max per class.

WHEN                       Wednesday to Sunday. By Appointment only.
COST                          $250 for the first two hours, and $100/hour after that.

INCLUDED               Tutor, Materials (glass), Tools, Oxygen, Gas and a lot of fun

• No experience needed
• Introducing and explaining the basics of blowing glass on a torch
• Showing and explaining the steps in creating glass forms
• Your own hands-on glass experience
• Blowing of vessels, miniatures, vases, ball balls and ornaments
• Sculpture solid glass into figurines, jewellery, earrings, Christmas ornaments and art piece
• What to wear: cotton long sleeve shirt, jeans or work pants, closed boots or protective footwear & sunglasses (working glass is hot and you will be working on a big flame, how exciting).

You will be able to take your work home at the end of the course!

Wolfgang Engel, an international artist – has been blowing glass for 35yrs and has his work in many collections around the World. Wolfgang has taught many students in Germany and Australia and will make you feel at ease during all stages of your art endeavors. People are fascinated by hot glass being shaped and manipulated. It is great to get your ”hands on” and experience the process.
