Over three decades, I have turned my creative talents into diverse and eclectic projects in Melbourne, Sydney and now on the Gold Coast. After graduating in art in Sydney (COFA) I participated in various group shows, exhibiting painting and sculptural works, and art installations exploring the fragility of self. My keen interest in the environment and love of the ocean has recently turned this focus outwards to the susceptibility of fellow creatures on this planet. I am an avid whale watcher and, from my hometown of Burleigh Heads, I volunteer during the humpback whale migration period to survey and collect information about current numbers and whale behaviours.

The materials I am currently choosing to work with are a combination of cane, paper, and glue, however, when working on outdoor pieces I also use fibreglass matting and resin to create my free-flowing ethereal sculptures.

More About Me

Over the past 25 years I have worked extensively in product development, and as a freelance graphic designer, guiding brands and products (giftware, homewares, jewelry, apparel, and toys) from conception to production, while managing websites, social media content and direct digital marketing. I have been the lynchpin on many events in the arts and business world, overseeing product launches, trade fairs (local, interstate and overseas), board presentations, exhibition stand designs, props, set-up, logistics and operations.

I have previously taught art, craft, sculpture, printing, and digital design workshops and currently teach kids painting, and drawing using innovative methods at a local art school. I have more recently purchased a business that puts kids’ art onto plates (and other products), this felt like a perfect segue from my graphic design work.

I volunteer when time permits with both a whale research group (HHR Humpbacks and Highrises) and in the koala enclosures at Currumbin Sanctuary.

I have a love for the ocean and all its magnificent life forms, and I make sure I get in it every day, it is powerful and energising and I believe it must be respected and preserved.

Along with my passion for art, I am also a fitness trainer believing that a healthy body helps nurture a healthy mind.
