More About Me

I was born in the United Kingdom and grew up in a small country village in Kent. My family immigrated in the early 1980s to Queensland, Australia, where I attended Queensland College of Art, studying painting, ceramics and sculpture.

After a successful career in teaching art and holding senior roles, I have decided to devote all my time to pursuing my passion for painting and sculpture. As a result, I have attracted the interest of gallerists and curators. You can find my paintings and sculptures in private collections and at Tiny Tree Café – a Brisbane art gallery.

Influenced by the work of Rosalie Gascoigne, Grayson Perry and Chris Ofili, my sculptures and paintings are bright, colourful and eclectic, mixing ideas and images from different contexts to create a story that often reflects a sense of fun and whimsy. Brightly coloured and patterned, My work can be whimsical and humorous or dramatic and atmospheric as I explore my imagination and reflect on my life experience.
