DRAWING, MIXED MEDIA, PAINTING, PASTELS

I paint mostly from nature – inspired by flowers, animals, landscapes, and love bright colours & lots of texture.

Lately I have been excited by abstracts and the freedom and creativity they provide.

Mixed Media artworks are also challenging and exciting, with so much variety and textures.

More About Me

I am currently based in Valdora, Sunshine Coast Qld. I have a great space for my Art Studio/Gallery and find the colours, sounds and textures of the Sunshine Coast a constant source of inspiration.

I am currently working on Abstract Art using Mixed Media techniques, and Mixed Media artworks with collage, found items and wildlife. I love adding found items from my wanderings on the Sunshine Coast, such as feathers, pressed flowers, gum nuts etc. My favourite thing in nature at the moment is Wattle Seed Pods – I’m obssessed with their flowing shape, colours and textures.

My biggest moments since starting painting back in 2013 are:

1. Winning 2 awards at The Samford Show in 2013
2. Invited by a collector of my art in Sydney to see my 4 artworks hanging in his home followed my my husband & I being taken out for dinner
3. Being chosen to appear as a Contributing Artist in the July 2018 issue of Colored Pencil Magazine, USA
4. Receiving a “Highly Commended” award in the Twin Rivers Lions art Show 2020
