As we all know planning anything for the future at this time is nigh on impossible. Having said that, the Arts Connect committee is moving forward with some exhibition opportunities we think are important to our members and the arts community.
Firstly the ReConnect Exhibition, which is being held at The Zone in Maleny this month, is an opportunity for Arts Connect members to display their work.
Almost a pop up exhibition, ReConnect is about bringing us together to exhibit our work in a group and in a safe environment.
Secondly we invite submissions from Arts Connect Members for a special exhibition at the Mary Cairncross Reserve Gallery, which opens in November. This Botanica themed exhibition is open to member artists to submit work that depicts, or is inspired by, the natural botanical environment of Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, or similar forestry. Works can be both figurative or abstract, as well as 2D and 3D.
Finally Sculpture On The Edge is confirmed for November also, and we think it’s a perfect fit for those wanting to escape the city during these times, and to get outdoors to safely experience art. Entries are invited from artists, both members and non members, and the prize pool this year is $6000!
